November 2022 – Rebecca Roskey-Brunner co-chaired the Mid-Atlantic Aging Life Care Conference in Philadelphia, “Feel the LOVE – Resilience, Diversity & Collaboration.” The Keynote speaker was Eloy van Hal the Founder of The Hogeweyk also known as the Dementia Village in the Netherlands. Care Managers Dana D’Amico, Cynthia Ellis, Virginia Kirk, and Katie Whalen also attended this extraordinary event.
April 2022 – Rebecca Roskey-Brunner attended the Aging Life Care Association 38th Conference, “Time to Shine – Education, Engagement, and Enrichment.”
April 13, 2020 – All assisted livings & nursing homes, throughout the country, placed restrictions on all visitations except for compassionate reasons,in the early part of March 2020. However, what has become more evident by the day, such visitation restrictions have not prevented the spread of COVID-19 within these establishments.

October 25, 2018 – Dolores T. Magid and Beverly Bernstein Joie attended an Elder Care Symposium presented by Jerold Rothkoff, Elder Law Attorney. The all-day event provided an extraordinary keynote speaker, Eloy van Hal, a creator of Hogeweyk. Hogeweyk is a village in which all residents have moderate to advanced dementia and is located in the Netherlands.

June 2008 – For her article entitled “Drawing a Map for the Later Years,” New York Times reporter Christine Larson turned to Beverly Bernstein Joie for her expertise. March 2008 – Beverly Bernstein Joie’s article on “How to Find the Right Caregiver” was published in Consumer Reports on Health.
DATE – One of our clients was chosen to be a guest on Seeking Solutions with Suzanne, a show that is seen nationally on CN8 and CNN Headline News. She generously shared her experience working with a Geriatric Care Manager.
August 2007 – “My Mother’s Keeper: The Eye Doctor Appointment,” a first-person account by Beverly Bernstein Joie, was published in Today’s Caregiver magazine and online at Caregiver.com in the publication’s anniversary addition.

March 2007 – KYW Newsradio reporter Mark Abrams interviewed Beverly Bernstein Joie for a segment entitled “Parenting Our Parents: Life Choices!” The program aired throughout the day and generated a huge response from the listeners. Beverly was also interviewed by the Northeast Times newspaper and featured in a segment on CBS-3 TV.

August 2012 – The Philadelphia Business Journal has named Complete Care Strategies as the 27th largest women owned business in the Philadelphia area for 2012.
August 2012 – Dolores T. Magid has been named Co-Chairman of the Program Committee for the National Conference of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers which will take place in Philadelphia in April of 2013.
August 2012 – Beverly Bernstein Joie has been nominated to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
July 2011 – The Philadelphia Business Journal recognized Complete Care Strategies as one of the largest women-owned businesses in the Philadelphia region. To qualify, companies had to be at least 51 percent women-owned and have a presence with employees within the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania or Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester in New Jersey.
President Beverly Bernstein Joie, M.S., and Executive Vice President Dolores Tracey Magid, M.Ed., were honored to be recognized for the achievement. “Our company is committed to helping the people we serve and dedicated to providing expert and compassionate care solutions to our communities,” stated Ms. Joie. Both women are certified Care Managers with over 54 years of combined experience and members of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
May 2010 – Elder Connections is pleased to announce that we have received our Certificate of Licensure as a Home Care Agency. Obtaining this license required major effort by our staff and is an accomplishment of which we are very proud!
May 2010 – Dolores T. Magid was honored by her peers at the Professional Geriatric Care Management Conference in Albuquerque, where she received the Outstanding Chapter Member Reward for her tireless efforts in supporting her local chapter as president.
July 2009 – Complete Care Strategies launched a new website, BetterSeniorCare.com. The site includes relevant articles on caring for aging parents and elderly loved ones, along with practical solutions and resources for caregivers.
April 2009 – Dolores T. Magid was elected President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.

May 2010 – Beverly Bernstein Joie and Dolores T. Magid were featured speakers at the Fiduciary Education Foundation’s CTFA Continuing Education Seminar in Harrisburg, PA. Their presentation was entitled “Professional Answers for Challenging Trust Clients.”
October 2009 – Beverly Bernstein Joie was the keynote speaker at the Montgomery County Bar Association CLE Seminar for Elder Law Attorneys and Accountants and a panelist at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s 11th Annual Legal Issues in an Age of Aging meeting.
January 2009 – Dolores T. Magid and Beverly Bernstein Joie presented “Caregivers’ Diaries,” a workshop at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Philadelphia. The event was well attended by members of the church and the surrounding community.
